Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Arizona College Prep Knights

Coronado is 0-5 against Arizona College Prep since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Coronado Dons will be home for the holidays to greet the Arizona College Prep Knights at 5:30 p.m. Coronado is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Coronado struggled with assists on Wednesday (St. Mary's had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Coronado was dealt a 65-16 defeat at the hands of St. Mary's. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Coronado has scored all season.

Coronado's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariel Douglas, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds, and Jayda Begay who scored no points. Douglas hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games.

Arizona College Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 33 points or more this season. They breezed by Shadow Mountain at home to the tune of 56-19. The win was just what Arizona College Prep needed coming off of a 65-25 defeat in their prior matchup.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Arizona College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
