Softball Recap: Falls Church Takes a Loss

Falls Church suffered their closest defeat since May 21, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Annandale Atoms by a score of 9-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Atoms this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Falls Church and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Annandale, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Falls Church is set to challenge their familiar foe Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Annandale will square off against rival Hayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
