Softball Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Sheridan Generals
River View is 0-8 against Sheridan since May of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Black Bears will challenge the Generals at 5:00 p.m.
River View is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Garaway, falling 10-4.
River View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Mizer, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sheridan had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Chieftains as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for River View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
