It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Leyden ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Addison Trail Blazers 9-8. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Maddox Jasinski was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Hassan Khrawish, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Leyden's record now sits at 14-12. As for Addison Trail, they dropped their record down to 8-21 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Leyden will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blazers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
