Basketball Recap: Plainfield South Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bolingbrook, Plainfield South was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Morris Redskins out 50-47. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Redskins are ranked 457th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plainfield South is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Morris, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
