Doane Academy strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Palmyra Panthers with a sharp 19-8 win. Doane Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Jacob Powell was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matt Kulyk, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Doane Academy pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Palmyra, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Doane Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 defeat against Maple Shade on the 17th. As for Palmyra, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Pennsauken Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
