Basketball Game Preview: Cicero Prep Academy Centurions vs. Fort Thomas Apaches

Cicero Prep Academy is 0-4 against Fort Thomas since December of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Thomas Apaches at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cicero Prep Academy sitting on four straight victories and Fort Thomas on three.

Cicero Prep Academy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Fort Thomas: they just beat Duncan at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Cicero Prep Academy managed a 30-24 win over Duncan on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fort Thomas humbled Valley Lutheran with a 65-37 victory. The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 27 points or more this season.

Fort Thomas' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Cicero Prep Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Cicero Prep Academy was taken down by Fort Thomas 68-31 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Cicero Prep Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
