Basketball Recap: Orrick's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Orrick came into Friday's game having lost 20 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sweet Springs Greyhounds on Friday, sneaking past 32-30. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 31-21 win the Greyhounds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Orrick's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3. As for Sweet Springs, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Orrick will take on Lathrop in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lathrop's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Orrick's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sweet Springs, they are taking a road trip to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
