Basketball Game Preview: Muleshoe Mules vs. Shallowater Mustangs

Muleshoe is 0-8 against Shallowater since January of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Mules will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Muleshoe had to suffer through a 47-15 loss at the hands of Littlefield. The matchup marked the Mules' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Shallowater had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Wildcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 608th).

Shallowater's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Muleshoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
