Basketball Recap: Travis Cartwright's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fairfield over Glasgow

If Fairfield was feeling good fresh off their 66-42 takedown of Conrad two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fairfield Eagles took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glasgow Scotties on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Scotties from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Travis Cartwright, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Deron Lear, who put up 11 points.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Glasgow, their record now sits at 14-5.

Coming up, Fairfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Choteau at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fairfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games. Glasgow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
