Softball Recap: Northwest Guilford Takes a Loss

Northwest Guilford fell victim to Oak Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Oak Grove Grizzlies, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northwest Guilford has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Oak Grove and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Northside v. Southside when Northwest Guilford and Southeast Guilford meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Guilford will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Northwest Guilford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Grove, they will challenge North Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Davidson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
