Baseball Recap: Carson Takes a Loss

Carson lost against Spanish Springs last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Senators came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-1. The Senators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Raggett was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Carson's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Spanish Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will head out to challenge Galena at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spanish Springs, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop Manogue at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Miners will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
