Basketball Recap: Watseka Takes a Loss

Watseka and Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Watseka had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 67-36 loss at the hands of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chaz Dubois, who shot 75% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Dubois has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Keison Peoples, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten assists.

Watseka's loss dropped their record down to 12-19. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-1.

Watseka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they have already played their next matchup, a 52-40 victory against Paxton-Buckley-Loda on the 28th.
