Basketball Recap: Neptune Comes Up Short

Neptune was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Manasquan Warriors and fell 62-32. The matchup marked the Scarlet Fliers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Scarlet Fliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christa Ramos, who posted five points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyeera Howard, who put up ten points and seven rebounds.

Neptune's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Manasquan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neptune has already played their next game (against Howell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Manasquan has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Wall Township.
