 Exeter-West Greenwich and Hope are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights will head out on the road to  challenge  the Hope Blue Wave at 4:45  p.m.  on Friday. Exeter-West Greenwich's pitching crew has only allowed three  runs per game  this season, so Hope's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 Exeter-West Greenwich took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Blackstone Valley Prep as Exeter-West Greenwich made off with  a  14-4 win. Exeter-West Greenwich might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by ten  runs or more this season.
  Tyler Medeiros was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit. Medeiros has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Medeiros was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Exeter-West Greenwich got a  massive  performance out of  Tyler Muniz, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.  James Smith was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Hope fell victim to North Smithfield and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 9-0 walloping at the hands of the Northmen. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hope in their matchups with North Smithfield: they've now lost five in a row.
 Hope saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Julio Minyety, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base.
 Exeter-West Greenwich has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season. As for Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
