Having handled several Preseason Top 25 football photo shoots in south Florida for MaxPreps over the years, photographer
Stuart Browning is always looking for unique spots to stage them.
And he did not let down this year.
Browning, who is based in Boca Raton and is a member of the
MaxPreps Photographers' Network, completed three separate team photo shoots during the month of May for the annual preseason project.
First up was
Central High School. Browning chose to stage it at the Wynwood Design District in Miami as he photographed six top players from the Rockets along with head coach Roland Smith.
"This is the heart of Miami and the graffiti reflects the culture in that district and they were in close proximity so it is sort of the neighborhood of the school," Browning said.
Next up was a photo shoot with
St. Thomas Aquinas, which is located in Fort Lauderdale. The shoot was done on-campus at the school's football stadium as Browning photographed several players and head coach Roger Harriott. A portion of the scheduled shoot time was delayed as a rain storm passed through.
The third photo shoot involved
Flanagan and was done at an airboat dock in the Everglades. The shoot involved six top players from the Falcons and head coach Devin Bush. He had them pose along the shoreline as well as in a boat and on a dock during the shoot which lasted a couple of hours.
"There are lots of alligators in the water and I'm the only one that went in the water," Browning said. "Everyone else seemed to not want to do anything in the water as they stayed on land."
