Football Game Preview: Wallington vs. Emerson

On Friday Emerson take on Wallington at 7:00 PM. Emerson are coming into the matchup hot, having won five in a row.

While not quite a landslide, the contest between Emerson and North Arlington on Monday was still a pretty decisive one as Emerson wrapped it up with a 20-0 win.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing 6 points in the match before, Wallington made sure to put some points up on the board against St. Mary. Wallington were the clear victor by a 38-8 margin over St. Mary. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Wallington had established a 38-8 advantage.

Their wins bumped Emerson to 5-0 and Wallington to 1-2. In their victory, Wallington relied heavily on junior Zaheir Mitchell, who caught passes for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns. Emerson will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
