New Riegel extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 11-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Lakota Raiders by a score of 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for the Blue Jackets as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Lakota, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

For Lakota's part, Sophia Bomer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Lakota saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savanah Vestal, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

New Riegel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
