Basketball Recap: Friendship Christian Takes a Loss

Friendship Christian was the 68-58 winner over Victory Baptist when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Friendship Christian Spartans took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Victory Baptist Warrior on Friday.

Despite the loss, Friendship Christian still got an impressive performance from Kevin Morozov, who posted 21 points. Morozov's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Pigott, who had 11 points.

Victory Baptist had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Davis put up 22 points and Dontaye Bell earned 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Holden, who scored seven points.

Friendship Christian's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Victory Baptist, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

Friendship Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Victory Baptist, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-52 defeat against Bible Baptist Christian on the 15th.
