Soccer Recap: Southeast Plays to a Tie

On Friday, neither the Southeast Seminoles nor the Manatee Hurricanes could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The Seminoles had to tread lightly for part of the game as Anthony Hernandez and Alberto Cardenas were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Cardenas and Orlando Merida scored both of Southeast's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Southeast's draw gives them a new season record of 3-5-3. Meanwhile, Manatee's record is now 6-2-1.

Southeast will challenge Bradenton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southeast is facing Bradenton Christian at the right time seeing as Bradenton Christian is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Manatee, they will take on Lakewood Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakewood Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.
