Baseball Recap: Argos Takes a Loss

Argos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 15-7 to the Oregon-Davis Bobcats. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Willie Barenie led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dominic Burns, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Argos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Oregon-Davis, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Looking ahead, Argos will square off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oregon-Davis, they will face off against South Shore Homeschool Athletics at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
