St. Mary waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Boyd County Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Mary's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boyd County to exactly 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Gracie Williamson paced St. Mary's offense, picking up eight kills. Williamson got some help from Adyson Peterson and her 13 assists. Williamson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Boyd County lost, don't look at Kyla McCarthy. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs. McCarthy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
