Basketball Recap: Poolville Comes Up Short

Poolville and Meyer squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Poolville had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 72-55 to the Meyer Ravens. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 741st, while the Ravens are ranked 298th).

Poolville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Meyer, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 32-3.

As of now, neither Poolville nor Meyer have any future games scheduled.
