Game recap: Plainfield North High School Football Team tops Oswego East

OSWEGO, Ill. - Plainfield North (Plainfield, Ill.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 48-14 win over Oswego East (Oswego, Ill.).

The Tigers scored 21 points in the first quarter. Plainfield North scored on a Jay Roberts touchdown run, a touchdown run by Kurt Palendech and a Roberts touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Palendech in the first quarter, PN led 35-8 at the half.

The Plainfield school expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Kendall Interial.

Plainfield North's most effective player was Roberts. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns.



PN went into the matchup giving up only 17.5 points per game.

A 35-7 Plainfield North victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The loss comes after Oswego East defeated Romeoville 37-12 last week.
