Softball Recap: San Juan's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Juan can now relate to. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand County Red Devils on Saturday. The Broncos' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

San Juan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgann Mcpherson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. Elizabeth Palmer was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

San Juan now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Grand County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

San Juan will face off against Parowan at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.72 runs per game on average), something the Broncos will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grand County, they will challenge Duchesne at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
