Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Providence Christian Academy's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Providence Christian Academy won the last time they faced Commerce and things went their way on Thursday too. The Storm were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Storm yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Providence Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-4, 25-15.

Leyu Hoover was nothing short of spectacular: she had 13 digs and three aces. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.

Providence Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-8 record this season. As for Commerce, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-22 record.

Looking ahead, Providence Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Prince Avenue Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
