Baseball Recap: Franklin Beats East Henderson for Their Third Straight Victory

Franklin barely beat East Henderson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-7 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cayson McAllister tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Franklin got a massive performance out of William Rauers, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Rauers has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Lowe, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Franklin, bringing their record up to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for East Henderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Franklin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
