Minor waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They skirted past the Homewood Patriots 51-49. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 56-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Minor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Mcclain, who went 10 of 18 en route to 27 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Mcclain is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Carmelo Burroughs, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Minor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Homewood, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.

The future could be bright for both Minor and Homewood: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Minor will try to hand Jackson-Olin their 15th-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Homewood will look to extend Parker's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
