Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. Burbank

The Valley Vikings will head out to challenge the Burbank Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Valley is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 14. They and West Campus finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, the Vikings got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Brian Saldana and Giovanni Madriz scored both of Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burbank, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Fairfield by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Valley's draw makes their record 13-1-5 this season. As for Burbank, they pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Valley took their win against Burbank in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 8-0. Will Valley repeat their success, or does Burbank have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
