Basketball Recap: Grantsville Takes a Loss

Grantsville lost against South Summit back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grantsville Cowboys took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Summit Wildcats. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Logan Woolstenhulme was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten boards for South Summit. The matchup was Woolstenhulme's 32nd in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Osguthorpe, who posted 11 points.

Grantsville now has a losing record at 10-11. As for South Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grantsville will face off against Ben Lomond at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ben Lomond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for South Summit, they will challenge Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with South Summit sitting on four straight victories and Morgan on 17.
