Basketball Recap: Dayton Takes a Loss

Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Taft Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-37 back in January.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Taft, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coming up, Dayton will head out on the road to take on Amity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Amity will roll in looking for their 24th straight win, something Dayton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taft, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-26 victory against Willamina on the 12th.
