Powhatan is a perfect 3-0 against Louisa County since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians will host the Lions at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Powhatan's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Louisa County has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Powhatan is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Manchester on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to the Lancers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this game were averaging 3.57 runs allowed.

Western Albemarle hit Louisa County with a five-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4.

Louisa County's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Powhatan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Powhatan was able to grind out a solid win over Louisa County in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 10-6. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
