Basketball Recap: Mile High Academy Comes Up Short

Mile High Academy lost against Campion Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mile High Academy Mustangs fell 45-38 to the Campion Academy Cougars.

Despite the loss, Mile High Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addy Dodds posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Dodds is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Even though they lost, Mile High Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.

Mile High Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Campion Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Mile High Academy has already played their next game, a 50-15 victory against Sunnydale Academy on the 14th. As for Campion Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-20 loss against Tournament Opponent on the 14th.
