Football Recap: Deer Valley Piles Up the Points Against Lincoln

Deer Valley never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Lincoln Mustangs 42-0. Fans of the Wolverines have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Deer Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Masaniai out in front who threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. Masaniai is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Anias Hightower also helped with two TDs in total.

The victory keeps Deer Valley at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average this season. As for Lincoln, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Deer Valley will challenge Roseville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against El Cerrito at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Gauchos' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
