Basketball Recap: Dillon Christian Takes a Loss

Dillon Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 58-27 loss at the hands of the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 76th).

Rebecca Hammond was her usual excellent self, putting up 22 points and three steals for Pee Dee Academy.

Dillon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pee Dee Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Dillon Christian has already played their next matchup, a 43-40 defeat against Lee Academy on the 9th. As for Pee Dee Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-25 victory against Florence Christian on the 10th.
