Softball Recap: Gulf Shores Takes a Loss

Gulf Shores lost to Moody back in February of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dolphins fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 8-7.

Kayleigh Jacks led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Anayia McCutchen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Gulf Shores' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Moody, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Gulf Shores will host Pace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Dolphins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Moody, they will square off against Hewitt-Trussville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
