Volleyball Recap: Greensburg Find Success

Greensburg won the last time they faced Martinsville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Artesians by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Averi Helms paced Greensburg's offense, picking up nine kills. Helms got some help from Mya Comer and her 24 assists. Claire Larrison controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Greensburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Martinsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Greensburg and Martinsville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pirates will take on rival Batesville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Martinsville is set to challenge their familiar foe Plainfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
