Baseball Recap: Farmington Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

It was close, but on Thursday the Farmington Scorpions sidestepped the Albuquerque Bulldogs for a 17-15 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

Farmington pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Albuquerque, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmington will host Rio Grande at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Farmington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Rio Grande has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Albuquerque, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Mountain at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. East Mountain will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Albuquerque surely won't give up without a fight.
