Volleyball Recap: West Johnston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Johnston lost against Lee County back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Yellow Jackets.

While West Johnston ultimately came up short, they really made Lee County work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 23-25, 27-25, 25-23.

Ava Parker paced West Johnston's offense, picking up ten kills. Parker were helped by Paige Cabell and Aubrey Lawhorn, who contributed 13 assists each. Amaya Brayboy controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lee County can attribute much of their success to Larken Pickard, who had ten digs and three aces.

West Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Lee County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

West Johnston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lee County, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Union Pines on the 14th.
