Baseball Recap: Tooele Victorious

Tooele posted their closest win since March 26, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Grantsville Cowboys. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Reeder Conger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madex Vonhatten, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Tooele's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Grantsville, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tooele will square off against Park City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Park City will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Tooele surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grantsville, they will host Bear River at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
