Football Recap: Orangeville Triumphs + How To Watch

After only 12 points in their last game, Orangeville made sure to put some points up on the board against River Ridge on Friday. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 40-20 margin over the Wildcats. The Broncos pushed the score to 34-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Hayden Schofield was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 341 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 20.1 yards per carry. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orangeville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 446 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Ridge only rushed for 127 rushing yards.

River Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Kaden Bauer and Jackson Goldsmith. Bauer threw for 199 yards and a pair of TDs, while Goldsmith rushed for 63 yards and one score.

Orangeville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for River Ridge, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
