The matchup between Snowflake and Chino Valley on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Lobos' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Snowflake, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Snowflake and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Chino Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Snowflake will take on Madison Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chino Valley, they will head out to challenge Blue Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
