Basketball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

Augusta lost against Melrose-Mindoro back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Augusta Beavers lost 65-44 to the Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs. The Beavers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Melrose-Mindoro, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Augusta will venture away from home to face off against Eleva-Strum at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Augusta is facing Eleva-Strum at the right time seeing as Eleva-Strum is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Melrose-Mindoro, they will head out on the road to take on Blair-Taylor at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
