Recap: Mt. Pleasant Vikings vs. Norwin Knights
Mt. Pleasant lost against Norwin back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mt. Pleasant Vikings fell 6-2 to the Norwin Knights. Mt. Pleasant has not had much luck with Norwin recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Danica Trainer put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off 13 hits (and only one walk). Trainer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will take on Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norwin, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Greater Latrobe at 4:00 p.m.
