Football Recap: Lima Central Catholic Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Lima Central Catholic won the last time they faced Crestview and things went their way on Friday too. The Thunderbirds came out on top against the Knights by a score of 21-13. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Knights are ranked 290th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crestview's loss came despite strong showings from Hayden Perrott and Braxton Leeth. Perrott gained 106 total yards and two touchdowns, while Leeth rushed for 154 yards. Leeth showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.

Lima Central Catholic's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.2 points on average over those games. As for Crestview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
