C1 District 6 recap October 8, 2013
Tyler Theye of Fairbury ran for the longest rushing play in C1 District 6 this season against Sandy Creek last week. Theye's team beat the Cougars as he sprinted for 89 yards on the play and finished with 271 in all.
Wilber-Clatonia lost to Lincoln Christian 41-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Michael Gushard ran for 96 yards in the loss.
Theye was a passing and rushing force as Fairbury bested Sandy Creek. Theye's favorite target this week was Nate Klaumann, who caught 3 passes for 140 yards.
Theye was a force in the backfield as Derek Garfield's team topped Jamey Boelhower's team.
Blake Skolaut put up the best numbers through the air as the Cougars fell to the Jeffs. He finished with 11 completions for 152 yards and 1 touchdown. Skolaut's favorite target this week was Foster Galaway, who caught 2 passes for 62 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Skolaut of Sandy Creek is the league leader in passing yards this season with 680. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Klaumann. The Fairbury star has 14 catches for 330 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Wilber-Clatonia takes on second place Fillmore Central. Wilber-Clatonia fell to the Crusaders last week, while Fillmore Central lost to Milford.

The top two offenses in the league, Wilber-Clatonia comes in having scored 128 this season, while the Panthers have scored 124. The Wolverines scored 22 points last week as they lost to Matt Farup's team.
Fairbury led the league in scoring this week by notching 40 points on the Cougars. Theye ran for 271 yards in the win.
