Volleyball Recap: Murphysboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Murphysboro lost against Carterville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13.

Shameria Joshua-Ayers paced Murphysboro's offense, picking up four kills. Joshua-Ayers got some help from Macey Alexander and her seven assists.

Murphysboro's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Carterville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Murphysboro will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Nashville at 5:00 p.m. Carterville has already played their next contest (against Grayville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
