Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Elk Lake

Elk Lake waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Carbondale Area Chargers. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 15 runs.

Elk Lake pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Carbondale Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Elk Lake and Carbondale Area will both be playing Montrose the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Meteors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Chargers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
