Soccer Recap: Turlock Takes Down Jesuit in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Turlock walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Jesuit Marauders out 2-1. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Marauders are ranked 292nd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fernando Carbajal and Sebastian Carbajal scored both of Turlock's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Turlock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Jesuit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Turlock will face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Turlock surely won't give up without a fight. Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
