Basketball Game Preview: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Loris Lions

Waccamaw hasn't had much luck against Loris recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Waccamaw Warriors will square off against the Loris Lions at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Waccamaw is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Georgetown: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Waccamaw blew Georgetown out of the water with a 58-27 final score. The Warriors pushed the score to 46-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Loris blew past Aynor, posting a 51-19 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Loris pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Waccamaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Waccamaw might still be hurting after the 59-38 loss they got from Loris when the teams last played on January 14th. Can Waccamaw avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
